So you want to write an effective resume that gets guaranteed result?
The problem is, most of the advice you get on the internet on writing effective resume are outdated- and I say this because I have seen what result they produce.
In fact, I myself was in the exact same position as you are now.
I was jobless for months and my resumes were not winning me any interview calls. The advice I got from the internet got me no where. So I understand how you feel. I know being jobless and broke is tough.
But I have a secret for you- a secret that no one would give you, and if you know it, you can get an interview call from your dream company for your dream job immediately!
What is this secret?
The secret is this: Targeted Attack
Most of the resume format and templates come in either of the two forms:
-Chronological- from most recent and going back (Very Boring)
-Common- The usual style that starts with job objective, then qualification, then experience etc
Up until the past decade, it used to work…But no more!
Now, you are competing against hundreds of other job seekers and your prospective employer will only glance at your resume (a few seconds).
How can you use that to your advantage?
Hit your prospective employer with what he is seeking! Research the company background through their website or by chatting to some people who are employed there, and find out what is it that they are looking for.
Is it some specific qualification, is it some technical experience or is it some skills? Find it…
…And put that in the first half of the first page of your resume; right at the spot where your prospective employer will first look.
